An unexpected interlude

During my two week break from work over Christmas New Year I took the time to go and do my six weekly shop.  All good and lots of bargains, so the freezer got stocked with meat, bread etc
Today, barely two weeks later, I go to said freezer and.....oh woe is me!  The freezer has broken.  It is kaput.  Every item inside is no longer frozen and all is a soggy mess.   So tonight instead of a brisk 5km walk in the cool twilight, I am in the heat clearing out the mess.

And today the DBEM was far from well and went spent four and a half hours at the emergency department with a side trip to the radiology unit.  Home again now but not with a totally satisfactory diagnosis.

So no photos tonight - this is merely to record the minutiae of life chez moi.

Oh Margaret, what a horrible day for you and your mum. Glad all is well though, that's the main thing. Having the freezer break down is a major pain.

Hope you and your mother have a better weekend.

So sorry to hear about the DBEM and hoping for a more encouraging outcome. Can well understand your disappointment that all that marketing has been for naught... A quiet time of
stitching would be a good antidote...

Oh dear, not the way you want to spend the evening. Hope Mum is feeling better soon.

Sending love to you both xxx

I am a caregiver; the extra burden of having 'things' break makes heavy load almost intolerable.... Sending good thoughts your way!

Sorry to hear your Mum is not well, hope she is feeling better now.
Freezer demise is a double expense, replacing unit and all the contents. Have you checked your home insurance policy? it may have provision for contents as well as unit cover.

Oh no, not a good day at all for the both of you. That's a negative side effect of doing your shopping in big trips...if something goes sideways with your storage, you can lose a lot too.
